Create an oasis for a hard working tech couple in a classic suburban house.

Solution

Job One – Design a gracious master spa to replace a tiny shower-only bath.

• Carve needed space for the master spa bath from an overly large adjacent bedroom and ungainly, hard-to-use closet. The resulting bedroom is comfortable, the closet 100% useful.
• Construct a separate room for the toilet with a window and sliding door for privacy.
• Invent a view with a wall of textured tile, washed by natural light from a slot skylight. Soft LED lights in the slot ensure evening bathers the same serene experience.
• Swap the small dated sink for a warm wood vanity full of storage and a deep French sink set under a fresh white quartz countertop.
• Finish the floor and walls with natural toned textured tiles.
• Fashion linen storage with custom shelves and a collection of earthy baskets.

Job Two – Add zest and light to the entire house.

• Install LED ceiling lighting throughout.
• Select a palette of airy paint colors, and a dash of deep burgundy drama for dining
